Problem

With hiring managers driving the recruitment of Prudential’s contractors — and managing numerous agencies on multiple invoices — they were in urgent need of controlled costs, headcount and processes.

Solution

The hyphen solution is one that has developed over 8 years, initially supporting on IT and change requirements then later expanding to cover professional PAYE and generalist recruitment.  At this time it was our ability to offer an end-to-end solution that delivered all categories of contractors and the way in which we tailored our service to meet Prudential’s demand, when at the time our competitors were fairly rigid in what they were offering.

Our solutions brought visibility to headcount, cost and consolidated invoices making processes streamlined and make the recruitment experience for Hiring Manager more efficient.

Our first link into Prudential was delivering IT contractors via the Best brand, one of the first projects was an IT salary review and Preferred Supplier migration programme. This was the initial piece of activity that led to an on-site solution.

Results

We have increased our scope to incorporate the following:

• Contract recruitment across all Prudential group companies

• Supplementing permanent recruitment activity for load balancing

• Employed Consultant recruitment

• Discrete savings program achieving significant savings via pay rate management, Employed Consultants and supplier negotiation

We are regularly measured on the following:

• Quantitative - CVs to Interview, Interview to Offer, Offer to Start, Time to fill

• Qualitative - Satisfaction Surveys

'Prudential has partnered with hyphen for several years for the provision of temporary and interim staff in our UK businesses. There has also been a real uplift in hyphen's emphasis in delivering commercial value and benefits to Prudential in areas such as implementing an Employed Consultant model.

We  are very happy with our partnership  and would recommend them as an outsourced partner.'
