Challenge
Aviva is the UK’s largest insurer and as such has a significant number of stakeholders involved in the recruitment process. Prior to the appointment of hyphen, Aviva’s challenge was to gain control and visibility of recruitment spend, leverage that spend with a single supplier and provide a consistent customer-focused recruitment experience.
Additionally, Aviva required a partner who could take a holistic view across permanent and contractor recruitment while providing the scalability required to cope with peaks in demand. Ultimately, Aviva needed a solution that would allow its team to focus on their business, rather than recruitment.
Solution
hyphen was originally engaged as a preferred supplier for IT contractors in one main area of the business, but after a robust tender process, subsequently won master vendor status, implemented a managed service programme for non IT contractors, and was ultimately awarded a contract for permanent RPO across all disciplines.
The team at hyphen worked collaboratively with Aviva to design fit for purpose processes, backed up by leading edge eRecruitment technology. They have introduced a direct sourcing model and single point of contact to ensure smooth working relationships, and a team focused on supporting Aviva’s people strategies.
Results
• Significant cost savings have been achieved via rate management, supplier negotiation, transition, and deployment of the Employed Consultant model
• Customer satisfaction results have improved year-on-year
• Recruitment has benefited from a scalable, efficient model
• The hyphen team, and thewider Aviva HR team work collaboratively and act as ‘One team’
“hyphen is providing a good, consistent and reliable service as our MSP for contractors. They have demonstrated a good understanding of our business and the external marketplace, built good stake-holder relationships and have led the delivery of additional cost saving initiatives to the business.”
