EADS Defence Networks
hyphen has successfully delivered an onsite Managed Service programme to EADS Defence Networks since 2002. In 2005 the service was expanded from the provision of IT and technical disciplines, to include all contingent resources utilised by EADS.
EADS Defence Networks is part of the EADS Defence Group. As Europe’s leading aeronautics, space and defence company, it is a major supplier of secure communications solutions to the defence, public safety and enterprise markets. EADS relies on the flexibility afforded by the contract labour market to staff programmes with highly skilled and specialised resources to meet exacting technical criteria and demanding project timelines.
hyphen has been able to deliver benefits to EADS in a number of key areas:
- Development of sourcing techniques that identify the experienced and highly specialised staff required by EADS. We do so by sourcing and then selecting from our own database and by using a specialist supply chain.
- Delivery of significant cost savings; a savings target of 20% was achieved within the first two years of the relationship.
- Continuous review and improvement of recruitment-related processes that has shortened lead times, significantly reduced administration and ensured that our supply chain provides an assured supply of staff even in challenging market conditions.
hyphen’s relationship as EADS’ recruitment partner was lengthened and expanded in late 2005 on the basis of our deep knowledge of the EADS business and our ability to continue to deliver cost savings, service improvements and innovation in the provision specialist resources to EADS.
